Jeanette Didon

Jeanette Didon, a Swedish interior architect and furniture designer, hails from a small village in northern Sweden. Her journey from the tranquil countryside to the vibrant heart of Stockholm was fueled by a desire for cultural diversity and a deep love for socializing and creativity. Didon’s career took flight as she designed bars and restaurants for renowned hospitality groups in Stockholm. Her work on the interior of Michelin-starred restaurant Ekstedt earned her the esteemed “Swedish Restaurant Interior of the Year” award from the Swedish Hospitality Awards and international recognition as Zagat listed the restaurant as the “Second Hottest Place to Eat in the World”.

Building on her international experience and collaborations with industry leaders, Didon founded her own design studio, Byblack, in New York. For over eight years, Byblack has specialized in crafting unique, unforgettable hospitality spaces, attracting a global following of guests and receiving acclaim from prestigious publications and social media. Her designs have been celebrated as “The World’s Most Instagrammable Restaurant” by Vogue Living, “The Most Instagrammable Restaurant in New York” by Coveteur, and “Paris’s Most Instagrammable Restaurant” by Architectural Digest. With a portfolio encompassing over 20 restaurant interiors, Didon has collaborated with prestigious clients worldwide, including hospitality groups such as Esquared/BLT Steak & BLT Prime, Stephen Starr, Eldridge Hospitality Group, Aska, Bridgeton Holdings/The Walker Hotel Tribeca, and many more.
